What is Voice of the Trade?
Voice of the Trade is an online community giving you the opportunity to share your views and opinions on the Trades by taking part in online surveys and other research tasks. Your opinions and feedback will help our clients make important business decisions about their products and services.
Who can join Voice of the Trade?
Voice of the Trade is open to anyone working in the Trades, a UK resident and aged 16+.
How do I become a member of Voice of the Trade?
You can sign up to Voice of the Trade by clicking the “Click to Register” button in the right-hand column, the button on the home page or you may have received a direct link to take you through to our sign-up survey.
The first step will be completing a short survey asking for some initial details so that we can get to know you better and to ensure we are sending you the most relevant surveys.
After completing the sign-up survey, you’ll receive a confirmation email to complete your registration then you will be all set to give us your opinions.
How do I update my details?
Once you are a member, you will be able to update details in the Profile area once you have logged in. Periodically we will also send around profile update surveys to find out about your latest interests.

How do I take part?
When a new survey is ready for you, we will send an invite by email and/or SMS to let you know, with a link to the survey and the relevant details - when the closing date is, how long the survey will take and what the incentive will be for taking part. We however won’t typically tell you exactly what the survey topic will be in the invite.
Surveys are typically available between 3 and 10 days from receiving the invite.
All surveys you are invited to but have not yet completed are also available in the Surveys area once you are logged in.
Although we have your information from the sign-up process, not all surveys will be relevant for all members and we need to make sure we are getting opinions from a range of respondents so in some cases you won’t be able to fully complete a survey and this will typically happen in the first few questions.
How often do I have to take part?
You can take part in as many or as few of the surveys we invite you to as you would like. The more surveys you take, the more opportunities you will have to ern incentives.
What are the incentives?
Each survey we invite you to will detail in the survey invite what the incentive will be. Typically, the incentives will fall into one of two categories:
- Prize Draws
- Cash or a voucher of equivalent value for completing the survey.
In both cases, the rules and what is on offer will be detailed in the survey invite.
Eurkea! Research and Potentia Insight both ensures they are providing quality data to their clients, therefore survey data is reviewed and quality verified. If you responses do not pass quality verification you will not be eligible for the incentive offered.
What if I forget my password?
If you cannot remember your password, simply click on the “Reset password” button in the right hand column.
How long will I remain on Voice of the Trade?
Once you are signed up, you can choose to stay on Voice of the Trade for as long as you like.
In cases where a member’s responses have failed verification on multiple occasions or other fraudulent behaviour has occurred they may removed from Voice of the Trade.
How do I leave Voice of the Trade?
If you want to leave Voice of the Trade, you can use the Unsubscribe function in the Profile area, the link on the bottom of all our e-mail communication or you can contact us at info@voiceofthetrade.co.uk.
